Class Descriptions

  • Play Time Yoga is 45 minutes in length. All other classes are 50-60 minutes in length.
  • Please ensure that you bring your own mat and a water bottle to class.

Play Time Yoga (2-4 years) (with adult care giver)
Yoga comes to life in these fun and creative classes designed to stimulate a young child’s growing curiosity. Playful animal yoga poses, animated breathing exercises and imaginative relaxation techniques teach toddlers about their budding bodies. Sprinkled with music, crafts, picture books and other age-appropriate props, we’ll spark the child’s inner yogi while enhancing language development, motor coordination and play skills. Your tot will wag their tail in downward facing dog, roar like a lion and grow strong and stable like a warrior.

Calm Kids Yoga (5-8 years)
This class will allow your child to develop a strong, flexible and healthy mind, body and spirit. Cooperative games, theme activities, storytelling and music engage the natural energy and enthusiasm of our “big kids”. Classes explore yoga poses, breathing exercises, visual imagery and relaxation techniques while conveying lessons in self-expression, body image, social skills, positive thinking, and environmental awareness. Calm kids yoga is an opportunity for children to find tranquility and peace in their busy little lives while improving whole body health.

Calm Youth Yoga (9-12 years)
Kindling the maturing independence of our children, these classes encourage a deeper sense of body awareness, self-exploration and interpersonal skills. Alive with flowing sequences, balancing poses, breathing exercises, and creative relaxation techniques, children are sure to find tranquility and peace in their busy lives. As well, partner poses and cooperative yoga games inspire positive peer interactions that they are sure to carry into their everyday lives.

Calm Teens Yoga (13+ years)
Expanding minds and maturing bodies come together through activities that emphasize physical strength, emotional balance and self-confidence. Classes integrate traditional hatha yoga poses, flowing sequences, breathing exercises and deep relaxation techniques. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the physical and philosophical aspects of yoga.

Students will learn to release tension from daily activities and busy school schedules while flowing through yoga postures. They will calm their minds and bodies by incorporating breathing techniques that create stillness. Classes integrate more formal instruction with playful activities to challenge students in their yoga practice.

Adult Chair Yoga / 50+ Chair Yoga
From desk workers to seniors … there is no age limit to this class! Almost any pose can be modified to be done in a chair. People who cannot get up and down on the floor easily or who are limited in the ability to kneel or sit cross-legged will benefit from this class. This class will allow you to develop a strong, flexible and healthy mind, body and spirit. Classes explore yoga poses, breathing exercises, meditation and relaxation techniques. This is an opportunity to find tranquility and peace in your busy life while improving whole body health.

Adult Hatha Yoga (All Levels)
Hatha classes are a good place to learn the basic poses (asanas) and relaxation techniques. This class will allow you to explore your breath within postures, as well as meditation and relaxation. All levels are welcome and you can expect to be gently challenged. This is an opportunity to feel relaxed, lengthened and toned.

Adult Vinyasa Flow Yoga
This class moves at a moderate to quick pace and is suitable for students with previous experience. We practice to align our yoga postures with our breath to create heat & stability. Flexibility, strength and clarity are natural side effects. Prepare to sweat in this class.
